  1. This is so brilliant, I'm forgiving you for posting not one, but 10 photos of birds. All of which are going to peck our eyes out. Because that's what birds do. They peck your eyes out.

  2. smiles....melts in your mouth, not in your hands....errr....funny, still seeing the alphabet everywhere...

  3. Thanks Mike & wow! I didn't even break the one photo rule ~ it's the same bird over and over and over again. You should have seen all the low-flying birds being tossed about in the wind the day RM ran his marathon down in Newport. Some of them actually looked like they were going to run headlong into the crowd. I only caught one that looked like it was going to peck out the eyes of a child because I was so busy giggling at their near misses. You'd have been horrified.

  6. I half expected a picture of M&M clouds today. This will do. I knew you'd be creative.

  11. Finally!!! I've been waiting and waiting for some eye-pecking birds! I think if you closely you can see a dab of iris on it's beak!

  13. LOL Great job! I'm going to go hide now because I'm having flashbacks to The Birds.

  14. What a great idea, and they're multiplying like that old commercial: and they tell two friends, and they tell two friends...

  15. Oh! Yes!! Way to go, Cheryl! Fan-freaking-tastic!

  16. Thanks Paula. I had to wait 24 days until I could finally use a bird for the prompt. The pressure was so intense, there were days I could barely breathe.

  17. Brian, the alphabet IS everywhere.

  18. Thanks Pat. My love for birds knows no bounds & it's been killing me that none of the prompts could be finagled to allow me to post a bird photo.

  19. Thanks Danielle. If you ask Mike, he'll tell you I'm thinking inside the box since my love of birds is all-consuming.

  20. I almost went that route but I hate repeating myself. When I did qwerty, I was unhappy with the W so started looking for a W in my bird shots from Rick's marathon at the beach. I saw this photo and knew I'd be using it today. Hadn't figured out the the collage until a couple of days ago. I'm pleased with it.

  21. I love them and this was fun to create.

  22. Thanks Theresa. What I was and am is sick and tired of not being able to post photos of what I really love because none of the prompts could be twisted to find a way to use birds or other critters. But you probably knew that already.

  23. Thanks Coco. I love birds and not being able to find a way to post a photo of one for 23 days was driving me crazy.

  24. Thanks Barb. I adore birds and critters. This was the first prompt I could finally post a photo of something I love. It's been a very long 24 days.

  25. I'm fairly certain you're right about the iris. (I've been dying a little inside every single day of this challenge because there wasn't a prompt I could twist enough to post a bird photo. I'm good now.)

  26. Thanks Jo. You have no idea how hard it's been to NOT post a bird. Posting every day is a huge challenge for me to begin with. Not being able to post photos of birds, dragonflies, damselflies, frogs, and other wild critters was killing me.

  27. Thanks June. I created a bunch of badges for 30 Days II including the one on Ziva's sidebar. Seeing and hearing those birds up close was really terrifying and very reminiscent of the movie.

  28. I just noticed that I omitted the word "look" from my comment somehow. It actually makes sense though. You won't be able to look after the birds peck your eyes out.

  29. Thanks Mike. Yes they are so be careful when you come back because you never know when the entire post will be one GIANT bird collage.

  30. Thanks Meleah. I've been waiting forever to finally post a bird photo. The relief is stunningly wonderful.

  31. ::snort::

Since I began using social media I've learned to read words that aren't there. I didn't even notice it was missing. My use of the internet has sucked my brain dry.

  34. Now, how did I know that you would be so damn clever? Lucky guess? I think not. However, I think we have had that little talk about you reclining in the yard all day just waiting for the birds to do a fly over. Or is it a fly by? Like a drive by but with bird droppings. Whatever, You are crazy ingenious.

  35. Thanks Val. I love nature and birds are my totem.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Thanks Sue. You had to know it was killing me not to be able post a photo of a bird or other critter AND post every day. It's just not natural. ;-)

  37. Thanks Malisa. I wish I'd been reclining on the deck in the warmth. I took a ton of bird photos the day RM ran his marathon down in Newport, RI. The temps hovered around 55 and the wind was steady at 25 mph with gusts much higher. I had layers upon layers of clothing on trying to stay warm. The birds tried time and again to fly into the wind. It was hysterical to watch the wind carry them off course. It drizzled for most of the morning so I wasn't able to catch many shots of birds that looked like they were hovering over people's heads. It was fun to watch but I hated not being able to capture those moments to post somewhere with Mike's name on them.

  40. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! My eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Okay, seriously, that is brilliant.

  41. How in the WORLD do you DO this! That is AMAZING! So gorgeous, you captured the bird perfectly AND you tied it in to m and m's. WOW!

    ReplyDelete
  42. How very clever! My blood sugar thanks you for not using candy.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks Nicky. Ring-billed gulls hate irises so your eyes are safe.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thanks Katherine. The bird did most of the work. ;-)

  45. Ahahahahah, I'm dying here!! Amazingly, brilliantly, eye-peckingly perfect. I love it. I'm taking it home and marrying it.

    ReplyDelete
  46. This is why I was anxious for you to see it. I wanted to 'hear' you laugh. I told you this blog was going to explode with birds. I laughed the entire time I was putting it together. Ziva, this one's especially for you! Glad you liked it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. No no no, not "like", "love". Thank you so much for bringing the birds back!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm pretty sure I can slip another one in somewhere even if it's just the outtakes.
