Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.

  1. That's just gorgeous, Cheryl -- a golden reminder of our place in the universe. I think we'd all be better off if we'd pause to look at a sunset at least once a day.

  4. Thanks Dufus. Driving home from visiting my mom and sister, I looked in the rear view mirror and there she was slowly slipping away. (The rush hour drivers on the highway were unimpressed with me standing in the breakdown lane. Woops!)

  6. Thanks Michael. The sun, the moon, and the stars always help me put things into perspective.

Pee Ess: I know I'd be better off if the sun actually shone at least once a day.

  20. I loved coming here the last series and I kinda wish I'd kept visiting :) I don't really know how you do it, it seems to me that you are a magical artist who summons the sun, birds, animals and seasons at will...regardless, this is magical.

  26. Gorgeous photo! I love the quote too. So much calm can be found in the silence while watching the sunset or rise. I do enjoy deep thought while in such a beautiful setting!

  27. Thanks LM. Best part of the sun setting is how the clouds make each one special.

  31. Aw, thanks Mo. I live on the edge of a very small city and my wanderings always take me away from that and from all the shopping centers. I'm blessed to live in a region that still has plenty of wetlands, woods, and always the ocean. It's a nature-lover's dream.

  32. Thank you. I'm just glad we got to see the sun since it had gobbled up the sun for over a week. This was the one nice day followed by 7 more days of clouds and rain.

  33. Thanks Theresa. Dang clouds did that! They lifted for a day in the middle of two weeks of rain, fog, and gray. The sun actually hurt my eyes.
