30 Days of Photographs II: Wheels

I have this wikkid pissah cool photo of something perfect for today's prompt.

I've decided to hold onto it for one of the other idiotic outrageous inspired prompts.

These vintage Austin Healey Sprite wheels are brought to you by some unsuspecting customer at Brits Bits. The gratuitous reflections are especially for Mike WJ.

Tomorrow's prompt is: Fear. At this point, I'm more inclined to post Overwhelmed.

  1. I always thought those wheels (or should I say rims) were awesome looking.  :)

  8. Great shot. Great car. I want one. God job.

  9. For some reason, I'm drawn to what's reflected in the back panel: what's across the street? I wonder.

  11. Those "gratuitous reflections" are pretty cool!

    ;)

  12. Oooh!  I probably wouldn't mind going to the Padded Palace if I was driven in that car.  Great shot.  It's so shiny!

    ;-)

And now I know where you live. Thank you. Information like that can be very useful at times.

This is a cool shot, partly because I love fast cars so much, but mostly because it's just a good photo. Kinda makes me want to jump in, fire it up and take off, you know?

  15. Oh snap!! This is GORGEOUS! And what kind of car is that?

  16. I noticed the reflections before the wheels.  Is that wrong?  I was drawn to that yellow shack/house thing.  But the wheels are pretty cool, too ;-)

  17. That's an amazing photo. Of course if that's your car I'm going to take that comment back and drown myself in envy.

  18. Gorgeous, Cheryl. And I'm pretty sure objects in those rear views  disappear at the speed of light :-)

  19. Aren't they just too much? So shiny.

  20. I only took wheely shots. Since it's right down the road, I can always go back and snap shots of some of the gorgeous cars on the lot.

  21. Thanks. I wanted to hop in and drive it home. Actually, the red one was pretty nice too & that one had the top down.

  22. Thanks Ziva. I wanted to steal it.

  23. Thanks Mike. They do. There were quite a few in really good condition and a whole crapload that were rusting away.

  24. I want one too. There was a red/white one just like this one. The roof was down and damn, was I tempted to jump in and drive away. Too bad no one ever taught me how to hotwire a car.

  25. The building in the nearest corner is the incredibly bland flooring store. Not exactly sure what the yellow is but the building beyond it is the ever-so-New England quaint fresh seafood market.

  26. Of course you do! I've seen your work. Shiny is a very good thing.

  27. Thanks Sue. That's one shiny car.

  28. I wouldn't mind going to jail in that car. Damn, it was gorgeous.

  29. Thanks Linda. It spoke to me; I spoke to it; we decided we were meant for each other. No one bothered to bring me the keys.

  30. Hells yeah. Do you have any idea how hard it was not to steal it or the red one beside it?

You just think you know where I live. For this 30 days of horror, I've traveled far and wide to find the perfect shot for each day. Drove 100 miles yesterday to find "Fire" and I'm not even sure I can make it work. Oh how I suffer for my art.

  31. It's a Triumph, a British-made vehicle that is to die for.

  32. You folks do know how to make 'em. This shop is right down the road. I drool every time I pass by which is fairly often since it's right on the way to the ocean.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I wish! Almost hopped into the red one parked next to it since it's top was down. Sadly, no keys and I never did get the hang of hot-wiring a sports car.

  34. Yes, I do believe they do. Well, at least if you or I was behind the wheel. Ironically, most folks who own these don't put the pedal to the metal.

  35. Pretty picture. Pretty car. Way better than the Mom Mobile I drive. AKA - minivan.

  36. Thanks Kristen. Waaaaaaaaay better than my 10+ year old Nissan Altima.

  37. You're doing a great job with this, but I can't seem to keep up with your everyday posting! Can't wait to see the wikkid pissah cool photo!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Lisa, I can't keep up with my everyday posting. You know how infrequently I post so this is waaaaaaay outside my comfort zone as is taking photographs based on prompts. I shoot what pleases me and don't have the discipline to post on a regular basis. I may drown before this ends.

  39. Nothing you see in a photograph is wrong. That's the beauty of the art-form.
