We're all doing just fine—thanks for asking. Sure we've been doing this for 22 days in a row, but we've got the
right stuff to do this
over and over again for eight more. BOOYAH!
If you have a minute or two, please visit some of the other duffers who, quite honestly, have made this more fun than I'd imagined.

| Update: this is not a self-portrait. |
Where there is love, there is life. ~ Gandhi
(Dear fellow
sufferers challenge mates, Blogger refuses to automatically publish pre-scheduled posts. Of all the rules set forth by the whip-cracking team of Mike & Ziva, this isn't the one I long to break. Yet, break it I shall. My hand has been forced by Google's decision to "fix"
every gol' dang thing it owns Blogger as well as my complete unwillingness to sit on my arse waiting for 8:00 a.m. to roll around.)
smiles....love of a pups is a beautiful thing...and they have much to teach us of love as well...nice shot cheryl
ReplyDeleteI like the portrait, nice candid shot.
ReplyDeleteAh, the woman behind the camera. Finally. Nice shot. Don't worry about posting early. Mine went up at 6 this morning. I happened to be up and on the computer so I deleted it and re-posted it at 8. The things we do to avoid Ziva's whip.
ReplyDeleteFantastic capture! It is a beautiful moment to see..
ReplyDeleteNobody will resist love.
ReplyDeleteLove happens whether we're aware of kit or not.
ReplyDeleteCaptivating photograph, indeed!
Nice photo.
ReplyDeleteMy new blogger.com got all uppity and changed the other day - but it is letting me schedule them - they just put it in a whole other place than it used to be.
Sorry buddy. That's not me. Nor is it my dog.
ReplyDeleteWait, you're trying to avoid her whip? Now I am shocked.
They didn't post for 4 days in a row so today I just said the heck with it and didn't bother waiting.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I deleted everything from forever from my cache, downloads, history, etc. I'm hoping that helps. Not only is Blogger not auto-posting, it stripped a whole lot of photos from prior posts. GAH!
I've still got them scheduled. Maybe tomorrow it'll post. I get up really early so having to remember to open this crap up to see if it's posted just isn't worth it.
Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It was.
ReplyDeleteVery true.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tito. It sure does.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brian.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great portrait, Cheyl! As to google not posting pre-scheduled posts - when did that happen? I've been using that feature all month for A-Z challenge...sigh. blogger and fb keep trying to fix what ain't broke!
ReplyDeleteso glad to hear i'm not the only one experiencing the 'schedule' issue! it's been 5 days now!
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone ~ not by a long shot. It's cleared up for some folks but I'm still waiting. Maybe tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteFor some of us, 5 days ago. I have no clue why it's affecting some folks and not others. I see yours go up on schedule. Google's been messing with Picasa (my photo storage site) and G+ (where I refuse to go). If they own it, they're tweaking it. The timing really stinks for anyone trying to have a life, work, and post on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteThanks Katherine. Their bond was so deep.
ReplyDeleteNot you? It's the woman behind the dog, then? Oh, maybe I should rephrase that.
ReplyDeleteThat is really a perfect moment to capture. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful self-portrait....You can see the love in your eyes, I'm sure the feeling is mutual tho :)
ReplyDeleteHave I mentioned during this meme thing that I love your photos? That I don't think you're really an amateur photographer at all? Well, I will now: I love your photos and you are no amateur photographer. :)
ReplyDeleteSo much more than you know.
ReplyDeleteI shot it but it's not me. The love between them was amazing to witness.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Bryan. I'm moving in that direction very slowly. I don't want to ever lose my passion for this. That is one of the issues I need to resolve. I'm judging an online photo contest this week. I'll be posting the link tomorrow. My responses to their questions pretty much sum up where I am right now.
ReplyDeletePhew! My faith in you has been restored.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, this is a wonderful photo. The composition is perfect, and the moment these two friends shared is captured perfectly. Just, amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing, not just the bond (even if lady and dog were strangers) but the colours, and the focus is perfect, simply perfect.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any problems with Blogger ( OMG I will now, won't I?!) but then I haven't been using them for very long.
Definitely some serious communicating going on there!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you have the lady and dog in such sharp focus while the background is diffused so as to enhance, rather than detract. Great shot :)
I didn't think that was you in the photo (I'd rather be behind the camera myself, too).
ReplyDeleteBut this is a great shot. Since I have dogs, I can truly appreciate the unspoken communication that appears to be happening between those two. Perfect capture of that moment and a nice twist to the usually "static" definition of portraits.
;-)
Aww...you can feel the love.
ReplyDeleteI sense a special conversation is going on there. Nice capture!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo of a gorgeous gal and her pup!
ReplyDeleteSorry - thought maybe you had the same format as me going on - maybe everyone has their own personal blogger.com hell?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, just as all those that have come before are too!
ReplyDeletethat is such a LOVELY photo! And this should win the AWWWWWWWWWW factor of the day!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, this tells a story :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great shot, Cheryl!
ReplyDelete=)
Yes, we each have own personal Blogger hell. Do you understand the HTML settings? If you do, you can adjust the line break feature. That seems to be the only difference I see on your posts (except for those missing links, which makes no sense at all).
ReplyDeleteThanks Ziva. I'm going to have this one printed and framed for my friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mo. She's a dear friend as was the dog.
ReplyDeleteYes, Hamilton, my guess is you will. Or not. I'm hoping not since it's really a drag.
ReplyDeleteMy friend and one of the best dogs I've ever known. I'm framing this one for her as a permanent memory of their last day together.
ReplyDeleteBehind is so much easier than in front. This was an extremely special moment. One I'll always cherish.
ReplyDeleteAll that and more, Mike.
ReplyDeleteIt was. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThey were a great team.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Julienne.
ReplyDeleteThanks Meleah.
ReplyDelete(If I told you story behind the photo, it would win the awwwwww factor for the month. Straight up.)
Thanks Claire. It's part of a bigger story but it does stand on its own.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue.
ReplyDeleteGirl, you post when you want to post. With photos like this, who is gonna argue? Sorry, Ziva.
ReplyDeleteGREAT photo! You capture such natural moments in your shots. Good luck with Blogger! (evil thing) :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful candid moment. Everything looks right: the lady is smiling, the dog is a lab (one of the happiest dogs ever created) the sun is out, the colors are bright and technically the shot is everything is everything you could want; but I have to tell you, my heart is breaking. I don't know why I think it, but somehow there's something sad going on here. Still, it's a wonderful photo.
ReplyDeleteThe whole Google conglomerate is EVIL (or VILE). At least the auto-publishing feature is back for me.
ReplyDeleteYep, there was. If you enlarge it you can see the sadness in my friend's eyes. It was a day of tough decisions and so many good-byes. This is just one of those moments.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work! This is awesome I like it.
