A sight for sore eyes
Not my best photographs in any category except one: things that bring me solace in midwinter.
Because I'm feeling like hopping around this week, I'm linking up to these phantasmagoric sites: Sunday Best, Friday My Town Shoot Out, Camera Critters, and Saturday Sareenity.
This is not one robin hopping hither and yon. They come flocking out of hiding and each is uniquely beautiful. A keen eyes will notice there is one robin common to the last three shots.

ReplyDeletehehe
great to see you cheryl!
and nice snaps...
but even better to see you....
Very nice photos. Something about pretty birds makes winter seem a little more bearable.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking today that I should begin to see Robins. I know I had by this time last year and this winter has so far been warmer.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots of this little puffed out guy!
Even though our winter has been very mild, I have not seen a Robin. Lovely captures!
ReplyDeleteI adore these robins from afar; beautiful photographs
ReplyDeleteWow - such gorgeous shots!
ReplyDeleteI love how the robin is at once both cold and determined.
ReplyDeleteFluffy and wonderful, I share your thoughts on how you came to post this particular photo. NEAT.
ReplyDeletelovely pics.
ReplyDeleteWOW, what a gorgeous photo of the Robin. The first shot is just perfect. Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteHe's quite different to the English robin. We have snow here today; started falling just after lunch yesterday. It's melting like mad though so, by tonight, it will mostly be gone.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully captured!
ReplyDeleteA late visit from Camera Critters, here's my entry.
Have a blessed Sunday!
I think they are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Robin pictures. Those barberry bushes should be taken out, though. Agressive, alien, invasive species. Here in NJ, the DEP has a mission to destroy it where they find it. It's an uphill battle. The damn thing kills everything around it.
ReplyDeleteI esp like the first.
ReplyDeleteSaw a cardinal yesterday. Can't wait for Mr. Robin!
how beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird and photo.
ReplyDeleteMarit , Norway
Very nice photos.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Your Robins are just so colourful - nice photos and good to see you have so many berries left for the birds.
ReplyDeleteI won't see any robins until April or May... rats. Yours are a sight for sore eyes! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing with us at Your Sunday Best, Cheryl. :)
they're having a feast! :)
ReplyDeleteI just love your robins; they are so photogenic; great opportunity
ReplyDeleteNice to see the color this winter...hoping we're done with winter before it really dumps on us! :)
ReplyDeleteI love how for winter birds all have a thick fluffy feather coat to keep warm. Delightful.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos of the bird surrounded by all that red. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures!
ReplyDeletereally great shots of the robins!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures. Well done, they never sit still for long. Can hardly believe the clarity of the third shot.
ReplyDeleteComing back from Saturday Sareenity, here's my ENTRY, have a great week ahead!
ReplyDeleteahh, with robins come spring....but it's only February. I usually don't see robins until around my birthday in March. Lucky you!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird. Nice clarity in shots.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty photos. I love the ones with the red berries. But I really like the first photo, too. Hard to pick just one. Got here from Sunday Best.
ReplyDeleteIt';s wonderful to see them up close for a change. Thanks for sharing. Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see robins in February!
ReplyDeleteI love the birds and berries. We have painted those several times in my art class. I do love painting berries. Been perusing you book shelf. I love my new Kindle and am really surprised. I thought I would miss the feel of the book but I can get through a book quicker and adjust the size of the type which is really good.
ReplyDeleteQMM
Gorgeous shots, they all look like little feather balls all blown up because of the cold !
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to take outdoor shots!
ReplyDeletethese are pretty shots! i like the softness of the first two pics!
ReplyDeleteand thank you for contributing to Saturday Sareenity.
Your photos of the robins are just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, I also post robins on my blog!
Great shots of beautiful birds!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann. (Testing Discus to see if it actually works.)
ReplyDeleteI love the way you processed the first shot. Watching winter birds is always a favorite activity at my house too.
ReplyDeleteFotos realmente maravilhosas!!! O peito colorido do pássaro se destaca dentro da brancura da paisagem. O arbusto cheio de frutos vermelhos alimentando a ave também me impressionou! Amei!
