I dunno...the first one would be grand if the weather was perfect. I could sit there, camera in hand, and nothing would be safe. But the second is gorgeous and wouldn't it be lovely to sit on the porch with a mojito in the summer breeze? Camera in hand there too, of course. Have a great weekend, my friend.
I love the pictures and the quote although somehow the thought of sitting on a pumpkin befuddles my brain. Maybe I need to think about a bigger pumpkin.
Well yes the second house is absolutely beautiful but I love the simple elegance of the first one. Great quote. New to me but I think I will be using it sometime. QMM
I've never heard that quote before, but it does make me think. The house in the second photo is gorgeous. I wouldn't mind having tea there sitting on a velvet couch, but that's just me. I like a little cush on my tush.
The second house seems like the kind of place where I'd always be worrying about making a mess. It looks a bit too perfect and I wouldn't want to spoil it.
The first house is totally appealing (though, being English, I'd need to fill the rain gaps!).
the tree how looks like a lot of fun. I also like the house, it is gorgeous! I love older homes with the huge porches. I can't say I have heard the quote before either. good one though!!
Me too, but gosh that second house is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love those colors on the second photo!

What a great two shots for that quotation. I've loved visiting everyone's blog this week - so imaginative (like yours) and such a range of quotations.

ReplyDeleteThoreau was so wise!
ReplyDeleteI like the first. The second house would require too much cleaning. Sleeping bag, good book, and the first house is all I need.

ReplyDeleteWhat a charming town it is!
