Laughter really IS the best medicine

Common Blue Damselfly upon a rain-soaked Shasta Daisy.

Looking at the sun through a Lavender Hosta.

Looking into the sun through a Pink Daylily.

It has been said that s/he who laughs last, laughs best. Can you guess why publishing this made me laugh out loud?

You regulars get it, right?

Right?!?!?

Macro Flowers Saturday badge 1

The Saturday Centus prompt is in bold red type. Because I'm anal-retentive, in a good way, there are exactly 50 other words on the post before my PEACE sign-off image.

59 thinkers thunk a thought:

  22. Well, I started a comment, but clicked on the damsel fly to get a better look, and had to start the comment over!...I'm not a regular, so I'm not sure why you're laughing, but could the damsel fly be looking at the sun from the daisy?
    Excellent shots!

  31. That draginfly is gorgeous, but the shot of the hosta is my favourite!! I have never looked at them closely, but I can see I am going to have to crawl around on the neighbours' laens and check out the view...

    ReplyDelete

  42. I love the photos and the PEACE sign...and your perfect word count! Well done!

  43. Cheryl, is that dragon fly in the first one playing dead while you shoot that with a macro? Is that why you laughed?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Breath taking photos. Enjoyed your commentary too. laurie

  45. Hmmm...I know I've been a little out of touch as late, but I would have called myself "a regular", if asked...

    But I don't get it...?

    Well, beautiful photos, anyway. :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Beautiful picture, especially love the last one:)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Well your photos are gorgeous but I'm not having much luck figuring out the joke. My only guess is the damselfly is actually a dragonfly that is either taking a sun bath or is quite dead. :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Your captures are fabulous! Love the damselfly. I can't talk mine into holding still long enough for a portrait. As for the joke, we'd tell them, but then we'd have to kill them. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Your bio makes me laugh. I think you would be a great and interesting person to know personally. Meantime, I love your blog - your photo's really are amazing and frame-able. Now I'm going to look those pictures over again and figure out all the riddles.

    ReplyDelete
  50. So why are you laughing? Hmm... because you're crazy?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Gorgeous photographs. Other than the 'damselfly that isn't', I don't know what the joke is. I have however, just signed up to be a regular ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  52. Okay, I'm not getting it! But I always like your peace sign!

And I always like reading your links...and this is the first time I didn't 'get it', so I'm feeling all kinds of mopey and not wanting to LOL at ALL!!!!!
