The clean-up from the damage Tropical Storm Irene left in her wake took about an hour to complete.
I'm lovin' the new view from the deck.
These guys even lopped a dead limb from the neighbor's other dying tree giving me a clear view of their chimney. Why is this so wikkid cool? My next challenge is to finally snap a shot of a chimney swift diving back home.

Wow, yeah, isn't it amazing what they can do? I hate the noise of the chipping machine but I love the smell of the wood chips.

I love the photo of the tree after it's cut, but appearing to be suspended mid-air. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteYUM, yum...now, were you watching them clear the trees or all of those muscles ripple? ;-)
ReplyDeletehuh?

Nudie pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of wood chips ... and i can certainly see why you were watching!!! great photos, especially the tree "floating" by ... as in bye bye ... looks your view just keeps on improving!
ReplyDeleteThere is much work to do after storm. Hope you aren´t hurt in any way! Great shots :)
ReplyDelete"Out of chaos comes order" - and in your case, fabulous photos. I love the shots of the bare torsos, especially the 6th in your series, not just for the obvious, but for the way the light highlights the skin. Also love the body language of all the men.
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of wood chips too. Each time the workers came to prunne the trees around the neighbourhood, I would be watching them from my 13th floor apartment with my camera.
ReplyDeleteI watched a machine like that nog long ago. Fascinating. Just think of how different it would be to get that done without the macine!
ReplyDeleteThat was pretty cool. And yes, the smell of wood chips is addicting!!!
ReplyDeleteNice. It's always a bit fun to watch others doing their job with determination and courage. We had tree's cut down a few years back and, my goodness, I couldn't imagine trying to do that job!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, love how you took them.
